The Emergency Squad is looking to add new members to our organization, and we would like YOU to strongly consider joining. Our agency is 100% VOLUNTEER and has been serving Hennepin County since 1952. The Emergency Squad is committed to excellence and insures the highest quality care by enrolling all members in a First Responder class, as well as an extensive cadet training program. Every member also attends a mandatory monthly meeting to keep our members informed, proficient, and up to date.

Those who become members of the Emergency Squad are required to work a minimum of 192 hours per year (2 shifts each month). However, the enjoyment and personal rewards experienced by our members drive many to help far more than the bare minimum. Squad members are also on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for call outs

Our membership is made up of hard working men and women from the metro area. (You do not have to be a resident of Hennepin County to join.) All of our members either own their own business, work full time, or go to school full time on top of their commitments to the Emergency Squad.

The Emergency Squad currently operates two fully equipped Suburbans with medical and rescue equipment, two 17’ Whaler boats, one Zodiac boat, one six-wheeled ATV, one generator/light truck, and a new, state-of-the-art incident command vehicle.
